Mitch Wieldt, then a high school student in Kirkwood, Missouri (Kirkwood High School Class of 1973), was selected as a worker for the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics on February 16, 1972.  While at the legendary yet tragic Summer Olympic games in Germany, Mitch collected many things and retained all of his treasures, which were perfectly preserved in a scrapbook.  In this particular case, he obtained a 4

" Addidas-sponsored photograph of Wilma Rudolph and had her sign it is blue ballpoint pen. 1972 Olympic gold medalist, Dave Wottle, has signed it on the reverse side, probably not that long after he won the 800 meters. For him, it would likely be one of his earliest signatures.
This is one of the few Wilma Rudolph signatures that has solid provenance and it is guaranteed to pass all major grading companies including PSA/DNA, JSA (James Spence), and Beckett (Steve Grad).
Note: the photo has been laminated. There is no yellowing or discoloration.
