    Description

    This is a delightful 6 1/2" cream pitcher by Reed & Barton. There are at least 3 other pieces in the 2425 series, so this might have been part of a tea set at one time. I'm not certain of the age.  Some put it into the 1850s.  I feel it may be a bit more recent.  Long before they started manufacturing sterling, Reed & Barton were recognized for their excellent plated wares. This very attractive pitcher is in very good shape.  It does need a good polishing, but I will leave that to the fortunate buyer.  There is a small scratch to the right of the handle.  There are at least seven animal heads located in various places.  Some might be lions.  Please see our other silver plate, and sterling by Tiffany, Gorham, Durgin, Unger Bros., and other fine makers.  Please contact us if you have any questions.
