Description
This is unusual and very fun. The bear on the handle is very wonderful and makes this a great display item. A great Victorian piece of silver plate. The piece reads “Patented By JA S Stimpson 1854 Extended For Seven Years – Meriden B & Company – Lymans Patent June 8, 1854 – Pat. March 3, 1868 – Pat June 13, 1868 – Pat Nov 3, 1868.” The interior porcelain liner is in good condition with minor stains and marks. The lid is not attached. There is a minor crack on the one side of the spout. I have taken photos to show. The silver plate may not be in good enough condition to shine up and be shiny. I personally like that look. There is a monogram on the front that reads “George and Ruth.” It is hard to read because of the size and tarnish. The cool thing about this pot is the wonderful bear on the handle. This really is a wonderful piece that stands 10 inches without the lid on.
