If you are looking for advice for your next home renovation or planning to improve your home this fall, then look no further than the 2024 Fall Home Show. Returning to the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place today and tomorrow, this year’s show features more than 250 vendors and experts offering services, education and free advice on everything from sustainable building materials to the latest trends in decorating and design. Tickets are available at the door and at fallhomeshow.com.
On the main stage, industry leaders will cover topics like building a climate-resilient home, how to prevent car thefts and best practices for preparing your garden before winter. At the DIY Centre, skilled professionals will teach visitors the basics of using power tools. Visitors can also enjoy free seasonal activities, like pumpkin painting and ghost tours of the haunted Exhibition grounds.
RenoMark, the industry program that identifies professional renovators and helps homeowners renovate with confidence, will once again be on site to provide free, 15-minute consultations at the Find a Renovator booth. Be sure to bring photos, ideas and sketches of your home to get the most out of these conversations.
Plus, this year, experts at the booth will be on hand to help with a specific daily focus. For Saturday, the focus is on Net Zero Homes, passive homes, energy efficiency, and how to save money when renovating or building a custom home. Then Sunday focuses on Laneway Homes & Garden Suites and experts will provide guidance on how home owners can maximize their backyard, basement, or multi-suite property for rental income or create separate living spaces for the family.
These daily topics will also be featured on the main speaker stage each day. Don’t miss RenoMark expert Zarifeh Zare-Moayedi speak about “Net Zero Homes: More Than Just Energy Efficiency“ today at 3:15 p.m. On Sunday afternoon, Mike Manning from Greenbilt Homes will explain why housing alternatives (like laneway homes and garden suites) are so popular.
Also, many RenoMark renovators will be among the exhibitors at the Fall Home Show. They are easily recognizable by the RenoMark logo in front of their booths. Renomark renovators are professionals who have agreed to abide by a strict Code of Conduct and are verified by the Canadian Home Builders Association and BILD every year.
The 2024 Fall Home show only runs until tomorrow – so head on down to the Enercare Centre at Exhibition Place or visit www.fallhomeshow.com to plan your visit and get tickets.
